We began this job as we begin all leak detection work – by identifying the areas of the pool where leaks can show. Being a vinyl liner pool, we still start our leak detection by listening with the PoolScope by LeakTronics. We listened for leaks all fittings, main drains, lights, stairs and seams in the vinyl. We almost immediately heard a leak in the light niche.

Next, we used the VILO Vinyl Liner Leak Detection Kit by LeakTronics to scan the floor and walls for any leaks, which we did not find. The pool was leaking, but the leak was not in the vinyl liner, as we concluded, it was in behind the light in the niche.
