Finding a Bond Beam Break

This leak detection was done on a pool that had an attached spa raised a couple of feet higher than the pool.

Like all leak detections, we began by identifying all the areas of the pool that we will listen to in an effort to find leaks. We then use our PoolScope by LeakTronics to listen to returns, side suctions, jets, main drains, lights and any noteworthy areas that have the potential to leak water.

We did notice that there was a bond beam break near the skimmer, but the level of the water was beneath the break. With some testing, we isolated the check valve was faulty and altering the flow of water between the pool and the spa. In the end, we isolated why the pool leaked and we repaired the bad check valve.
