Are you dealing with a Licensed Swimming Pool Contractor?

I have been a licensed swimming pool contractor for the past 24 years. I found that service companies claimed they didn’t need a license, only a certificate from the Health Department–NOT TRUE! I also found that swimming pool builders were operating under a roofing contractors license. When I dug deeper, I found that the original license issued to this company had been suspended. Lastly, I found a large national franchise that had multiple listings throughout the Los Angeles area was operating with suspended or expired licenses.

If you’re dealing with a swimming pool contractor whose license is invalid, there is a good chance that they are not bonded and that they DO NOT carry liability insurance. A company performing work in California must indicate their license number and make it visible on their corresponding website, business cards, estimates and invoices.
